In the past two years over 2,000 members of a diverse public have came to experience  the unique, eclectic, feminist and funky experience of the BGBF in Los Angeles and now we’re coming to Brooklyn.

Creating an all-inclusive environment included encouraging people to bring their children and providing kid-friendly spaces in the event. Blk Grrrl Book Fair initiative, organized by [black, feminist, poet] and journalist Teka-Lark [Lo]…I’d like to say that the Blk Grrrl Book Fair… was one of the liveliest events I’ve witnessed in a long time.” ~ Art News in Amelia Jones article, titled, On Sexism in the Art World.

2018 is  being planned with a collaboration of feminist and literary art groups.

We’re are open to sponsorship opportunities.

The Blk Grrrl Book Fair idea was founded by writer and poet Teka-Lark Lo.
